As promised, here's some more information about the first rec game. On Saturday, September 26th, Sudden Impact Paintball is hosting a Star Wars themed big game. Entry will be $30, which includes all rental equipment, 500 paintballs, free lunch, and entry into a prize drawing, which usually includes some really cool paintball gear. Costumes are encouraged, and there will be prizes handed out for the best dressed players. Wear long sleeves and long pants you don't mind getting dirty (don't worry, paint washes out), and bringing a change of clothes or something clean to sit on so you don't get your driver's car dirty. Although the field does have bottled water and Gatorade for sale, bringing your own would be a good idea.
We'd like to leave campus by about 9:00am that morning, and we'll be meeting up at the parking lot at Lincoln and Oregon a little before that so we can get rides all figured out. We will have fliers printed up with directions to the field for anyone who is willing to drive. I'd appreciate it if you could send me an email by Saturday the 19th so that I can give the field an estimate on how many people we'll be bringing, and if you are willing to drive, please include that in the message.
As usual, feel free to ask me any questions you might have, either through the forums or by email (cwweber2@uiuc.edu).

MEETING UPDATE!
The first general meeting will be in 314 Altgeld Hall at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Aug. 27. Room 314 is the large lecture hall on the top floor, just go up until you run out of stairs and head towards the center of the building.
Sometime hopefully this week we'll be having the first meeting of the year. We'll be going over the different stuff we do in a little more detail than we were able to on Quad Day, including both recreational and tournament play, and for anyone who hasn't played before, we'll go over the basics of the game so you get a feel for what to expect. If you're not sure if you still want to come, don't forget we'll have free pizza. Check back here later in the week or wait for the email for more detailed information about the meeting. There will be a followup post and email for anyone who is interested, but can't make it to the meeting. Details for our recreational games will also be posted here and sent out in an email.
In the mean time, feel free to head into the forums and make friends with (or make fun of) each other.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email (cwweber2@uiuc.edu) or a private message through the forum, and I'll be happy to help.
